2018 Brooksie Way Half Marathon will Close Streets on Sunday

The 11th Annual Brooksie Way Half Marathon will be Run this Weekend

The race begins Sunday September 23 at 8:00 a.m. The half marathon starts and ends at Oakland University. The race is an opportunity for well over 4,000 runners to experience the streets and trails of the area. The first runners will start arriving in the City at approximately 8:30 a.m. and will be leaving by 11:00 a.m. Race Marshalls and Police Officers will make every effort to move traffic across the race route when it is safe to do so. There are expected to be longer delays when the bulk of the runners are in the City of Rochester.

These are areas that can expect longer delays:

  • Second Street (Letica) between Main and Parkdale  will be temporarily  blocked while the runners and walkers head on Second Street to Elizabeth beginning at approximately 8:45 a.m.
  • Main  & University
  • Ludlow  & Woodward (at the Paint Creek Trail)
