Tickets now available for Anthony Anderson talk at Oakland University
Tickets for Oakland University’s 30th annual Keeper of the Dream Scholarship Awards Celebration are now available to Oakland University (OU) students, faculty and staff, as well as the general public.
Each person can request up to four tickets, which may be reserved online via this link or picked up at the Office for Student Involvement Service Window, located in Room 49 of the Oakland Center. The window is open 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tickets are free.
Emmy and Golden Globe nominated actor Anthony Anderson will keynote the event, which will take place on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 17, 2022, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in the O’rena on OU’s campus. In accordance with Oakland University policy, all attendees will be required to wear face coverings.
Established in 1993, Oakland University’s Keeper of the Dream Scholarship Awards pay tribute to the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for his achievements on behalf of civil rights. The awards honor students who have contributed to his legacy of interracial understanding and goodwill. In the past three decades, over 100 students have been awarded Keeper of the Dream scholarships totaling more than $500,000.
