Gets New Look and Improved Navigation

Oakland County has launched its revamped and improved economic development website, which aims to get users to the information they seek faster and easier.

According to the press release, the site features improved graphics, ease of navigation and mega menus, which allow easier one-click access to economic development programs, services and events such as Medical Main Street®, Tech248TM, the One Stop Shop Business Center, the Emerging Sectors® business attraction strategy, or available business classes and upcoming events.

“Getting our customers to the information they need quickly and more efficiently is a key to the new site,” Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson said. “We all know how frustrating it can be to search for something and not be able to find it. Our team has worked diligently to create a hassle-free website that make searches easier and presents our information more logically so you get what you need in a click or two instead embarking on an endless adventure.” features drop-down mega menus for those customers interested in: Business, Residents, Communities, International, Maps & Data, and Programs. Subsets may include information on starting a business, financing, community grants, finding a job, arts & culture and waste and recycling, among other subjects.

The site also allows customers to access or subscribe to PROSPER, economic development’s bi- weekly electronic newsletter that features news about the businesses, communities and people of Oakland County and the region.
