Ahmadiyya Muslim Community – Metro Detroit Urges Calm After Shooting in California 

The Community condemns massacre in San Bernardino

The Metro Detroit Chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community located in Rochester Hills urges calm after 14 were killed and 17 were injured.  This was the second mass shooting in America that day, and the 351st of the year.

“We are saddened about this tragic loss of innocent life and are praying for the victims and their families,” said Dr. Mansoor Qureshi, President of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community – Metro Detroit, “We strongly condemn the actions of the perpetrators. In these difficult times, all citizens have to come together and promote peace and understanding.”

During the Friday afternoon prayer and sermon (Jumu’ah), the Muslim group offered special prayers and condolences for the victims and their families at their Rochester Hills Mosque.
