“The flag remembers those killed on 9/11 and defending our nation against terror since,” Patterson said. “It’s also on display as a token of our appreciation for the sacrifices of our first responders and the men and women who have worn the uniform of our great nation.”

The flag”s dimensions are 60 feet by 30 feet. It is resistant to high winds. Individuals may view this patriotic site by passing the Oakland County government campus on Telegraph Road. Those who want to see it up close are welcome to park in one of the open lots near the Oakland County Circuit Court building located at 1200 N. Telegraph Road in Pontiac.

The flag was purchased from American Flag and Banner in Clawson with private funds in 2012.
