Announcing the Winners of Rochester Posed

Downtown Rochester’s second annual Rochester Posed event was held last night, October 2. Participating downtown Rochester businesses turned their storefront windows into live mannequin displays. This year’s theme for Rochester Posed was classic TV of the 60s and 70s. The 2014 Rochester Posed is presented by Lake Trust Credit Union and Downtown Rochester.

Downtown Rochester estimates that the event brought about 5,000 people to Downtown Rochester between 5 and 9 p.m. Live mannequins were displayed in the windows from 6 – 8 p.m. “It was such a fantastic turn out,” said Stephanie Hellebuyck, Events Coordinator of the Rochester Downtown Development Authority. “All of the participating businesses did an amazing job! The public seemed to really enjoy the theme and even the rain held out, which was great!”

Twenty-three businesses participated in Rochester Posed. A panel of judges comprised of DDA Board and committee members scored each participating business on originality, theme and staging. We’re happy to announce that first place goes to Barbers on Fourth – The Andy Griffith Show.

The Rochester Posed Committee is excited to announce that the 2015 theme for Rochester Posed will be Grimms’ Fairy Tales. The date is to be determined but is planned for early October.
