Are Ewe Ready for Your Close Up?

The Ewe Review 2 Design Portfolio is complete and there are over 100 sheep looking to “get the part” in this summer’s production of The Ewe Revue 2. Sheep vying for starring roles include Lady Ba-Ba, The Amazing Spider-Lamb, Sheeplock Holmes, and Blaaaack Swan, to name a few.

The Ewe 2 Review is currently seeking sponsors for our fine, fluffy friends. Sponsorships begin at $2,300 and include either one full-size fiberglass sheep or a flock (4 mini sheep) designed by the artist of your choice. Overall event sponsorships with additional marketing opportunities for businesses are also available, starting at $5,000. Several sheep have already been made into stars, including I Love Ewesy, Sweweperheros, and Baa-ckdraft.

At the conclusion of the event, sponsors have the choice to keep their sheep star or donate it to the Ewe Review Closing Parting, where the flock will be up for auction, with proceeds benefitting Rochester-area charities.

The Ewe Review 2 is a community-wide public art event celebrating the history, pride, and spirit of downtown Rochester. The original Ewe Review took place in 2001 and saw over 46 sheep, decorated by local artists and sponsored by businesses dotting the landscape of Rochester. They’re baa-ck and this time they’re going Hollywood. The flock will be on display beginning May 11 and continuing through September 30, 2012.

The deadline for having a starring role in Ewe Review 2 is Friday, March 30, 2012.
