When September comes around, art lovers and area residents start to get excited for another Downtown Rochester Fall Gallery Stroll. Galleries and businesses all over downtown Rochester turn over their spaces to new artists, and invite the public to come in and see the artwork, meet the artists, sample some refreshments, and enjoy a fall evening strolling through the streets of the town. This year’s stroll takes place on Friday, September 20 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
There are ten stops on Fall stroll. New galleries participating this year include Aurum Design Jewelry and Sweet Island Yogurt. Some of the galleries have been participating in the stroll for many years, including Haig’s of Rochester, @ Home Furniture, and WHOO UR Upscale Resale for a Cause. The twice-yearly gallery strolls are an excellent opportunity for art lovers and those looking for a fun evening on the town to walk from one site to another, discovering new artists, meeting area business owners, and enjoying all the community has to offer.
We look forward to celebrating a special Fall evening with visitors. Wear your comfortable walking shoes, park your car, and spend some time visiting new spots and getting to know your neighbors and local businesses.
