Ah, is there nothing more welcoming than Spring after a long, snowy winter? One of my favorite parts of Spring is the packing away of boots, snow pants, and gloves, and clearing out all the junk that has accumulated over the cold months while we’ve hibernated.
The other part of Spring that I love is the prevalence of garage and attic sales. There’s always some unique item I am looking for, or a piece of furniture I’m hoping to get a bargain on. It’s amazing to see the great things people just rid of!
I’m thrilled that a local church, Faith Church, next to Hamlin Elementary, is hosting an attic sale this Saturday, March 26th. They are planning to have furniture, sports equipment, and electronics, as well as some unique finds. Last year they were overflowed with great pickings and were able to raise money to help fund some great opportunities to help those in Jamaica and Alaska. All the profits this year will again go to support missions, including giving the youth at Faith Church an opportunity to help in underprivileged areas in the United States.
The sale is this Saturday, March 26th from 9am – 3pm. The church is located at 160 West Hamlin Road, Rochester Hills, MI.
