FAMILY STORYTIME-“Tales of Asia” Storytime
Thursday, August 11
7:00 – 7:30 p.m., Story Room
Come to the Story Room and listen to tales and music from the diverse cultures of Asia. Online registration begins August 4. Register everyone attending, confirmation numbers required at the door.

Summer Reading Family Finale

Celebrate our community of readers with a full day of fun at the library on Saturday, August 13. Multipurpose Room
Register for each finale event separately beginning Saturday, August 6.

11– 11:45 a.m. Yo Master Zeemo presents… The Story of the Yo-Yo
Learn the history of this ancient toy, see varieties from all over the world and watch in awe as Yo Master Zeemo demonstrates the American yo-yo, the Topys Topsie Chinese Yo-yo, Japanese Kendama and even the game of paddleball. Come prepared to participate and earn a prize. Yo-yos will also be for sale. Online registration begins Saturday, August 6. Register everyone attending, confirmation numbers required at the door.

12– 1 p.m. Global Garden Taste-Testing and Family Picnic
As a part of the summer reading finale we will be harvesting and enjoying a taste of our Global Garden. Bring your family, a picnic lunch and an adventurous spirit! There will be space inside the multipurpose room and in the grassy areas around the library.

1-1:45 p.m. Preschool Movie Matinee-Weston Woods Presents Famous Fairytales
After the picnic and taste testing settle down in the multipurpose room for a short afternoon matinee. We will be featuring several fairytale favorites.
2 – 4 p.m. Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo
If you’re ready for some fast-paced and G-rated fun, Herbie and cast are for you! Join Herbie on an adventure that includes an avalanche, a water rescue and some great trick driving. Covered drinks, blankets and pillows are welcome.
