Avondale Youth Assistance Seeking Students Who Make a World of Difference

Avondale Youth Assistance (AYA) and the Auburn Hills Morning Optimist Club have partnered in search of students who make a world of difference to celebrate the good things they have accomplished. Students in grades 5 and higher who reside in or attend a public, private or parochial school within the Avondale School District are eligible to be part of this distinguished group of youth who have volunteered in the community and/or shown exceptional personal efforts over the past year.

Any adult individual or community organization may nominate candidates for recognition. Past young people recognized have served in area hospitals, nursing homes and churches, been active in school service projects, tutored or mentored fellow classmates, given time to community projects or taken positive steps to turn their lives around. Nomination forms are available online at www.avondaleyouthassistance.com or by calling 248-852-3716. The deadline for nominations is January 25, 2019.

Selected students will be honored at the Annual Youth Recognition Awards Ceremony on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Avondale High School Performing Arts Center in Auburn Hills. Several local, county and state dignitaries participate in making this event very special.

AYA is a non-profit community organization that provides enrichment and assistance programs for local families. For more information, visit us at www.avondaleyouthassistance.com or call 248-852-3716.
