“Beauty & L. Brooks” Concert to support The Rainbow Connection

Internationally-renowned pianist Marina Arsenijevic and the Michigan Philharmonic Orchestra will conduct a special performance at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 19, in honor of Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson to benefit his children’s charity, The Rainbow Connection. The concert will be held in the Seligman Performing Arts Center at Detroit Country Day School in Beverly Hills.

RC-Logo_lg“The Michigan Philharmonic has dubbed the event ‘Beauty & L. Brooks’; and it’s true, I cannot remotely compare to Marina’s beauty or artistry,” Patterson said. “But the real focus of the evening is about The Rainbow Connection. Thank you to Marina and the Michigan Philharmonic for raising funds to help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses.”

Tickets are $40 for general admission or $100 for VIP/Patron which includes a meet and greet following the concert with Brooks and the performers. To purchase tickets, call 734-451-2112 or go to michiganphil.org.

The concert will begin with the Michigan Philharmonic performing “Adventures on Earth” by John Williams. Marina will then come on stage to play Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A Minor and Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue.
