Beer and Puppies with the Rochester Tap Room and Leader Dogs

Leader Dogs for the Blind “Pups on Tap” Fundraiser

Leader Dogs for the Blind hosts its first ever “Pups on Tap” fundraiser at Rochester Tap Room in Rochester Hills on April 25. Guests dining at Rochester Tap Room will be giving back to the incredible gift of freedom and safety that Leader Dogs provides its participants.

“We are so excited to partner with Rochester Tap Room for their ‘Pups on Tap’ event. It is because of events like these around our community that we are able to continue to provide the programs and services that we do for our clients free of charge,” said Dani Landolt, Chief Marketing Officer, Leader Dogs for the Blind.

Each year, Leader Dogs for the Blind raises 450 puppies with volunteer Puppy Raisers in 26 states. Once raised, these puppies return to campus to begin their formal training with a Guide Dog Mobility Instructor.

“Leader Dogs for the Blind is such an amazing national organization that we have the privilege of having in our community,” said Missy Markevics, owner of Rochester Tap Room. “We wanted to find a way to give back to them and what better way than allowing them to come in and bring their puppies while we give back a portion of our sales that day.”

Guests will have a chance to visit with Pups in Training from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 .p.m. Raffle prizes from Leader Dogs for the Blind and other area businesses will be drawn at 8:00 p.m.

Giving back is simple that day. Mention Pups on Tap, or show the flyer on your mobile device or from Rochester Tap Room’s facebook page, and Rochester Tap Room will donate 15% of your bill to Leader Dogs.

Pups on Tap runs April 25 from 11am-11pm. Rochester Tap Room will offer select draft beer specials throughout the day and happy hour pricing on drinks and appetizers from 3:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.
