EMERGENCY BOIL WATER ADVISORY ISSUED JULY 16
BOIL WATER ADVISORY UPDATE (5:00 p.m. July 16): Water pressure has returned to normal for residents in the northwest portion of the City; however, the Boil Water Advisory remains in place until water quality testing is completed. The first test is scheduled for this afternoon and we must wait 24 hours for the results. If that test is clean, we must complete one more test and wait 24 hours before lifting the Boil Water Advisory.
Rochester Hills residents in the northwest portion of our community are under a Boil Water Advisory due to Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) experiencing a system failure around 8:00 a.m. July 16, 2026.
Residents in the impacted area will experience low pressure until the GLWA system is working properly and we ask you to shut off your irrigation systems and avoid any extra water use. At this time, we do not have an estimated time frame for when pressure will be restored. We will continue to share updates as they become available.
