Brothers of the Brush Unite at the Greater Rochester Heritage Days

In honor of the City’s Bicentennial Celebration, the Greater Rochester Heritage Days is proud to welcome back the Brothers of the Brush Beard & Mustache Growing Contest. Last held in 1969, this event invites men to do their civic duty and grow a mustache, full beard or goatee as a part of the Bicentennial Celebration.

The Brothers of the Brush Beard & Mustache Growing Contest will take place on Sunday, May 21, at 1:00 p.m. at the Rochester Municipal Park Band Shell. Kingsfield Grooming will judge participants, in several categories including length and creativity. All participants will receive an official Brothers of the Brush Membership Card, Commemorative Badge, Official Participation Certificate and the opportunity to win fabulous prizes and the coveted Brothers of the Brush Trophy. Participants can register for the contest in person at the Rochester DDA Office, 308 ½ Main Street or online at www.downtownrochestermi.com.

Greater Rochester Heritage Days takes place on Saturday and Sunday (May 20 – 21) at the Rochester Municipal Park. This family-fun event includes historical demonstrations, Pioneer Playground, car show, craft show, food and the return of Floatable Boatables. Admission is free.
