Building in Rochester Hills shopping plaza catches fire

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) – Fire crews are on the scene following a fire in a shopping plaza on Rochester Road near Hamlin in Rochester Hills.

Witnesses say there were approximately four fire trucks on scene.

Chopper 7 was over the scene and it appears the roof partially collapsed on the building that caught fire.

IMG_8569The plaza has a CVS Pharmacy, Jo-Ann Fabrics and a Dunham’s Sports, but it appears a vacant store is what caught fire.

CVS and the other stores were not damaged in the fire. Construction was being done on the vacant building and may have contributed to the fire.

No injuries have been reported.
