As autumn approaches, those looking to spend time volunteering need not look further.
Crittenton Hospital Medical Center will host its first meeting of the season on Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 1:30 p.m. for those interested in joining their volunteer team.
Dubbed the Crittenton Auxiliary, “They’re a big part of our operation here,” said Brian Birney, director of marketing and communications for Crittenton. “We always need the help and (volunteers are) great ambassadors for the hospital.”
Some areas looking for helping hands include clerical assistance, escorting patients, helping in the gift shop, delivering supplies, greeting family members and visitors, making puppets for pediatric patients, assisting in rehab services, the surgical lounge and in other departments.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and orientation meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month, starting in September.
Crittenton is currently not looking to hire more staff at this time.
