Story Garden Grand Opening with Plein Air Art Show

A garden to honor Helen S. Williams has been developed at Cranberry Lake Farm in Oakland Township. She was known as the ‘Pied Piper of Reading’ and ‘The Story Lady.’ The garden’s theme focuses on seven of Helen’s favorite children’s books, which make up the seven sections of the garden. Milk House on the Move in Oakland Township

Cranberry Lake Farm Historic District to receive a Milk House The new location had a milk house that burned in 1984. The Historic District Commission (HDC) intended to return a township milk house to the farmstead so people could learn more about our local agricultural history of dairy operations.
