Hamlin Tool & Machine’s President Pat Pihajlic wanted to recognize both the public servants of Rochester Hills as well as be one of the first significant donors to Innovation Hills.

Over its 65 years, Hamlin Tool has been a strong supporter of the City of Rochester Hills, including being a sponsor of the Festival of the Hills, the city’s annual fireworks show. The company’s donation will help catalyze the development of Innovation Hills and create opportunities for community engagement through park programs.

“This latest act of generosity underscores Hamlin Tool’s longstanding commitment to give back to our community,” states Mayor Bryan K. Barnett. “We are proud to have business leaders like Pat Pihajlic that truly care about both the safety of our employees and the quality of life here in Rochester Hills.”

The new park will feature ten acres of pond for recreational use, miles of trails and boardwalks, a suspended bridge over the Clinton River and the region’s largest universal play area for children of all abilities.

“This park will be a great asset to that community for generations to come,” states Pat Pihajlic, Owner of Hamlin Tool. “We are honored to partner with the City of Rochester Hills to help revolutionize recreation in our community.”

Located at 2800 W Hamlin Road, Innovation Hills contains over 100 acres of undeveloped woodlands, wetland, and prairie habitat. Users discover high overlooks providing spectacular views of the Clinton River. As the largest outdoor classroom in the region, Innovations Hills will provide a wide variety of hands-on educational opportunities that promote experiential learning and a long term appreciation for nature.
