Founded in 2008 by former Michigan natives Rachel and Dan Smither, Key of Hope is a nonprofit organization that takes a holistic approach to impacting the lives of vulnerable children living in AIDS-stricken Durban, South Africa. Through ongoing household support, school fees assistance, choir, tutoring, and a variety of other ways, Key of Hope is building long-term relationships that matter in a corner of the world that rarely registers on anyone’s radar.
Now you can make a difference in these children’s lives and you don’t even need a passport — just your golf clubs. Join Key of Hope on Monday, June 22 at 8 a.m. for their 9th annual Key of Hope Charity Golf Scramble at the prestigious Wyndgate Golf and Country Club in Oakland Township, MI. Spend an enjoyable day golfing on award-winning landscapes enveloped in nature’s beauty — all for a great cause.
The event begins with registration and a light breakfast, followed by a 9:15 a.m. shotgun start. The entrance fee is $175 per golfer or $700 for a foursome. There are also a variety of sponsorship opportunities available: from a Hole Sponsor ($200) all the way up to a Tournament Sponsor ($4,000). All sponsors will receive recognition at the lunch following the tournament and the opportunity to include items in the tee bags or as prizes.
