Commissioner Adam Kochenderfer announced his campaign to retain his seat on the Oakland County Board of Commissioners, District #15, which covers Rochester and a large portion of Rochester Hills.
Kochenderfer hopes to continue his work on the Board focusing on:

Adam Kochenderfer
1) Quality of Life: Each action county government takes must be aimed at preserving residents’ strong quality of life at a reasonable cost.
2) Fiscal Responsibility: We must protect the county’s AAA bond rating by constantly searching out innovative approaches and new efficiencies.
3) Public Safety: In a world of evolving threats, it is imperative that we continue to prioritize public safety and ensure our Sheriff’s Office remains one of the best trained in the country.
Kochenderfer stepped down as Rochester Hills City Councilman and was appointed to the Oakland County Board of Commissioners December 7, 2015.
The campaign is off to a strong start. Over 80 volunteers have already signed up, and the campaign begins with over $40,000 cash on hand.
Kochenderfer is supported by County Executive L. Brooks Patterson, Sheriff Michael Bouchard, Congressman Michael Bishop, and Rochester Hills Mayor Bryan Barnett.
Moreover, a strong Finance Committee has been assembled to support the campaign’s fundraising efforts. The Committee includes Russ and Kathy Shelton, Vern Pixley, Frank Rewold, Gordie Kosch, George and Betty Seifert, Ziad Kassab, and Tim Crawford.
Kochenderfer stated he was looking forward to meeting with residents and sharing his plans for the next term. “It’s been an honor to serve Rochester and Rochester Hills. My wife and I chose to raise our family here because we knew Oakland County offered the best quality of life, and I’m committed to making sure that continues for all families across our community.”
