Community Foundation of Greater Rochester Appoints Executive Director

The Community Foundation of Greater Rochester announced today that local attorney Johanna Allen has joined the organization as its new Executive Director

Johanna’s business background and community service will serve her well in her new position. A lifelong resident, she established her law practice in 1990. Community service leadership roles include serving on the Board and as Board Chair of the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce, on the Board and as President of the Rochester Rotary Club and Rochester Rotary Charities and on the Advisory Board and as President of the Women’s Fund. In addition, she has volunteered with the Rochester Community House, Assistance League of Southeastern Michigan and Meadowbrook Theatre Guild. Johanna has been a member of Meadowbrook Woman’s Club since 1999 and serves on the Community Scholarship Committee.

“I am excited about my new status as Executive Director of the Community Foundation of Greater Rochester and look forward to working with the Board of Trustees, local businesses, nonprofits and donors to raise awareness about philanthropy in the greater Rochester area, including opportunities to give lasting support to the community via the Community Foundation,” said Allen.
