We’re rolling it, patting it and marking it with a “B” for Bake Sale! Back by popular demand, Rochester’s 2nd Annual Great American Bake Sale will be held on Saturday, September 22, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The event will take place at the upper lot of the Downtown Rochester Farmers’ Market located on E. Third Street.
This community-wide bake sale will once again benefit Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign. The 2011 Event raised over $3,000 and provided 30,000 healthy meals for children in need. Share Our Strength’s goal is to end childhood hunger in America. Do you have a sweet tooth? A craving for cookie or maybe even passion for a pie? Come on down and feed your need while contributing to a Great cause at the same time!
“More than 17 million kids in America are at risk of hunger,” said Kristi Trevarrow, executive director of the Rochester Downtown Development Authority. “Through the Bake Sale, we believe that our community can make a difference!
