ROCHESTER, Mich. – July 26, 2011 – The buns are just about ready for the oven and we’re ready for Rochester’s Great American Bake Sale! The Bake Sale will be held on Saturday, Aug. 6, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm at the upper lot of the Downtown Rochester Farmers’ Market.
This community-wide bake sale will benefit Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign. Share Our Strength’s goal is to end childhood hunger in America. With your help, they believe this goal can be achieved by 2015. Do you have a sweet tooth? A craving for cookie or maybe even passion for a pie? Come on down and feed your need while contributing to a Great cause at the same time!
In addition to Great baked goods, there will be activities by the spoonful! Be sure to take some time to check out all of these heaping happenings:

“More than 17 million kids in America are at risk of hunger,” said Kristi Trevarrow, executive director of the Rochester Downtown Development Authority. “Through the Bake Sale, we believe that our community can make a difference. We currently have 240 dozen baked goods, so bring your wallet and your appetite to support this Great cause!”
