The holidays are the perfect time to give to loved ones and give back to the community. Local performer, Corrin Barnett, wife of Rochester Hills Mayor Bryan Barnett, will once again be donating all proceeds from the sale of her holiday album to local charities and organizations. The CD, entitled “Just the Beginning,” is Corrin’s first album and has been a favorite in the Rochester area and beyond.
Corrin Barnett has had the privilege of working with many nonprofit organizations in the community throughout the years. Now on sale nationally and at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, proceeds from the CD benefit the Rainbow Connection, Rochester Community House Community Kitchen, Grace Centers of Hope, Zion Christian Church and Hamlin PTA. Corrin also performs throughout the year for nonprofit organization benefits and fundraisers.
In addition to her nonprofit work, Corrin is also a regular performer at the Royal Park Hotel and Great Oaks Country Club. Corrin is a performer at heart. In her private studio, she trains between 30-50 private students on a weekly basis, giving them the same excellent training she’s been privileged to carry with her.
“It’s been such a privilege to be a part of this community and give back through something that I love – sharing my favorite holiday songs, as well as some originals,” said Corrin. “Barnes & Noble has been so giving to Oakland County and Rochester Hills. We’re excited to be a part of the event and hope people will come experience the holiday CD for themselves.”
Purchasing a CD will be an instant way to give back during the holiday season in which many struggle. CDs can be purchased at Rochester Community House, Rainbow Connection, Pino Insurance, Lytle Pharmacy, Ram’s Horn on Hamlin Road, Bordine’s in Rochester Hills, Queen Bee, Zion Christian Bookstore, and Barnes & Noble.
