On Sunday June 5, 2011 all are welcome to walk the streets of The Village of Rochester Hills as over 75 Corvettes will fill the streets. The event is free and is organized by GMC Corvette Set. The Village of Rochester Hills, located on the corner of Adams Road and University (Walton Blvd), is the perfect location for such an event. Open from 11am – 4pm you are able to get up close and personal with the vehicles and the owners. Be sure to checkout this event.
The show is open to Corvettes of all years, stock, modified or custom. The Club is expecting more than 75 Corvettes to be entered into this ‘people’s Choice’ show. Registration is free and begins at 8 a.m. with prizes awarded all day and an awards ceremony in the late afternoon. There will be a Receipt Raffle open to everyone to win prizes including a $200 Village gift card. Sponsor donations and proceeds from the Receipt Raffle will benefit Leader Dogs for the Blind. Leader Dogs has been the designated charity of the GMC Corvette Set for many years; the group has donated well over $100,000 to Leader Dogs since formation.
The GMC Corvette Set has actively sponsored car shows for over 20 years. The Club motto is “We joined because of the car. We stay because of the people.” Membership in the club is open to all persons with an interest in Corvettes and monthly member meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at the Leader Dogs for the Blind facility in Rochester.
