Stolen and found wallet
On Thursday, May 9, Rochester Hills Police responded to a report of a stolen wallet from an Abington Court resident’s truck. The truck had been unlocked and parked in the driveway overnight. The next morning, the resident and his wife noticed the driver’s side door was slightly ajar and searched the truck for their belongings. The wallet was the only missing item and there was no damage to the truck. Officers later found the wallet in the yard with a few credit cards and some cash missing. They advised the resident to notify the credit card companies and there are no suspects at this time.

Failed field sobriety tests lead to arrest
On Thursday, May 9, Rochester Police stopped a 38-year-old Rochester resident for reckless driving near Runyon Road and Dequindre Road. After talking with the driver, officers suspected intoxication and conducted a standardized field sobriety test. The driver failed all of the tasks and was arrested with their third operating-while-intoxicated offense. A search warrant for a blood draw was also obtained.
Local resident violates personal protection order
On Monday, May 6, Rochester Police were dispatched to a River Mist Drive home on a civil matter call. The resident spoke with officers and shared that they have a valid personal protection order against a subject who was currently on the premises, according to reports. The subject, a 48-year-old resident was arrested for violating the PPO.
21-year-old arrested for drunk driving
On Sunday, May 5, a Washington Township resident was stopped for speeding near Main Street and University Drive. Rochester Police carried out field sobriety tests, which lead to the arrest of the 21-year-old intoxicated driver. The driver was released when sober.
Driving with a suspended license
On Saturday, May 4, a Mount Clemens resident was arrested near University Drive and Helen Ave when Rochester Police stopped the driver for improper license plates. It was found the driver had a suspended license, was arrested and later released after posting bond.
Fight outside bar leads to arrest
Also on Saturday, May 4, Rochester Police arrested a Pontiac resident for fighting with another bar-goer behind Main Street Billiards. The 34-year-old was arrested for assault and battery and later released that evening.
