Crittenton Home Care Happenings

Seniors are invited to visit a Crittenton Home Care nurse at one of the following facilities listed below. The nurse will answer basic medical questions and offer free blood pressure screenings. For information, call the Community Relations Coordinator at 248-656-6757.

Auburn Hills Community Center from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. the second Monday of each month.

Orion Center at 11:30 a.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.

Shelby Senior Center at 11:30 a.m. the first Wednesday of each month.

Troy Community Center from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. the second Thursday of each month.

Caregiver Support Group Sponsored by Crittenton Home Care

Crittenton Home Care invites the community to a Caregiver Support Group at one of the following locations and times:

  • Auburn Hills the third Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the Auburn Hills Community Center. To register, call the Auburn Hills Community Center at 248-370-9353 or visit auburnhills.org.
  • Northern Macomb the first Wednesday of each month at 1:00 p.m. at the Washington Township Senior Center

Both groups are lead by an Alzheimer’s Association facilitator, the group provides an opportunity for caregivers to discuss how their lives have been affected as they care for someone with Alzheimer’s disease.

A safe and supportive environment will be created so group members can share feelings and coping strategies, reduce feelings of loneliness, as well as find new meaning, connection, and hope. Monthly meetings will be held based on interest and community response. Please call for details and information on future dates and times. Volunteer respite assistance may be available.
