The Gourmet Gala, now in its 35th year, will take place Sunday, November 6 at the Royal Park Hotel. Featuring signature dishes and wine samplings from more than 40 of the area’s finest restaurants, the event is a benefit for Crittenton Hospital Medical Center.
Proceeds from this year’s Gala will support Crittenton’s Cornerstone Campaign – a community-wide effort to raise funds to build a new patient tower. The 165,525 square foot tower will provide much needed space for private patient rooms and the expansion of Crittenton programs and services.
The 2011 Gourmet Gala Raffle features the grand prize of a four day, three night trip for two to either Napa Valley or Sonoma, California. The package includes airfare, luxury accommodations at the Marriott Hotel & Spa or The Lodge at Sonoma, complimentary breakfast and a personalized five-hour wine tour with chauffeur. Raffle tickets are available for $20 each. The winner will be announced at the Gala but need not be present to win.
Crittenton Hospital Medical Center is a 290-bed acute health care facility serving communities in Oakland, Macomb and Lapeer counties. The medical staff of nearly 500 physicians provides a wide range of medical specialties. Crittenton’s partnerships with the University of Michigan Health System for cardiovascular surgery, and the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Center for oncology services make it the destination of choice in its community. As a fully-accredited teaching facility, Crittenton provides a campus for residents from Wayne State University’s School of Medicine who are specializing in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT). Crittenton also is a teaching campus for nurses from Oakland University’s School of Nursing.
