ROCHESTER, MI – This two-hour class meets the requirements for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) 1910.1030 standard for non-healthcare providers. Participants take a test at the end of the course and receive certificates to document their compliance. Topics include the chain of transmission, the difference between a bloodborne disease and an infectious disease, different diseases that can infect people, including human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis, Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) – as well as OSHA guidelines.
