Cupcake Station opens downtown, in time for holidays

As the downtown lights twinkle this holiday season, you might want to add a new stop on your shopping rounds.

IMG_8223That’s right, fellow lovers of dessert, Cupcake Station has planted its roots here in downtown Rochester. And they have opened their doors to the public. The new baked bounty can be found in a warm and cozy corner shop at 205 South Main Street–or the former location for Dessert Oasis.

Opening just under two weeks ago, most of the business has been sheer foot traffic, says manager Jessica.

The shop had a soft opening in time to offer treats for the holidays.

In light of the season, the Cupcake Station is serving special flavors like candy cane, egg nog and holiday torrene.

IMG_8220Store hours are also being extended to accommodate holiday shoppers. During the week, the store is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and until 10 p.m. on the weekends. Sundays, the Cupcake Station is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A grand opening event is being planned for early next year, but a date has yet to be set.

This is one my new favorite spots in downtown! I had the Caramel Nut Bar and it was so amazing. And of course, I had a hot cup of coffee to go with it. It was such a treat for my kids to get to watch the cupcakes being iced and decorated too. Love the Cupcake Station!
