Dear Crabby, Is there a Perfect Food?

Dear Crabby, Is there a Perfect Food?

Sincerely, Reuben Toastmaster

Dear Reuben,

Pizza is the answer. Always and forever. Round or square. The answer is Pizza!

Simple is best, cheese and pepperoni. However, you may substitute or add more meat. I like to add bacon, ham, and pork sausage – basically, yummy pig meat – with the cheese. Now, you can vary the cheese a bit too, but remember it must have a kind of cheese and meat. I have previously gone on the record stating these facts of how to eat pizza; and stating never to put on veggies or weird stuff. I feel it only right to tell you, if done right – in a good restaurant – pizza can have other things on it.Dear Crabby Gives Advice

Peppers, pineapple, chicken, shrimp – they can all work if done correctly. I had a friend who would order a pizza with three items – any three items – from a pizza place near his work. He would tell me how they hated that and never knew what to put on his pizza, they were afraid he wouldn’t like how they did it. He was easy to please and liked surprises – the pizza joint did not – so he usually got cheese, pepperoni and something like ham or mushrooms by default.

Which brings me back to cheese and pepperoni – it just works.

It just occurred to me that you may be asking about a perfect food in the sense of healthy for one to eat. So, I would still argure for pizza, but it’s not really health food. So, if that’s your question here are some basic good, sometimes called perfect, foods to eat between pizza meals (that I approve of):

  • Bananas
  • Avocados
  • Salmon
  • Beans
  • Nuts
  • Berries
  • Eggs

I used that Google thing for ideas to add to this list, and those items are good for you, fun to eat, and I like them (so you should too). Whether pizza answers your question or this healthy food list does, you should be all set now. And looking at that list, a couple of those foods might go well on a pizza … um, now I’m hungry.

Best Wishes,

Dear Crabby
