Unstuck in Time is part biography and part literary criticism. It is a portrait of this uniquely American literary icon seen through the lens of his most important work. Vonnegut remained devoted throughout his life to an alternative American dream story, one full of possibilities even at the darkest hour, an interplay that compels us to return again and again to his books and that Sumner captures perfectly in this thoughtful account.
