Detroit Area Woodturners 2017 Gallery Exhibit Includes Two Rochester Hills Artists

The Pontiac Creative Arts Center (PCAC) invites the public to an artist reception on Friday, November 10, for the 2017 Gallery Exhibit featuring members of the Detroit Area Woodturners. The opening reception is from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. with the awards program at 7:00 p.m. Complimentary food and live music will accompany the evening.

Roger Meeker and Vince Hellmann, both Rochester Hills residents, will join about two dozen Michigan woodturners looking to be honored in this year’s award competition. The event is juried by Ray Katz, former Oakland Community College instructor and Pontiac artist.

Admission and parking is free. Sales of the art will benefit the Pontiac Creative Art Center. Visitors may use the PCAC parking lot off W. Pike Street or available street parking near the center.

The show runs for one month, from November 10 through December 10. There is no charge to visit the exhibit during normal open hours of the PCAC.

About the PCAC

The Pontiac Creative Arts Center (PCAC) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization serving North Oakland County with art education, art programs, and exhibitions.
