Dinner to benefit Habitat for Humanity

The seventh annual Birthday Build Dinner and Game Night benefiting Habitat for Humanity will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday February 8 at Abiding Presence Lutheran Church, 1550 Walton Blvd. Rochester Hills.

The event honors  Kurt Ketelsen, who died in 2005 after a lifetime struggle with Juvenile Diabetes.  The event is sponsored each year by Ketelsen’s family to remember him on his birthday.  He was a building contractor in Rochester and often participated in projects in Pontiac to build or repair homes for those in need of shelter.

The evening includes a lasagna dinner and family game night. Following the meal there will be a “Minute to Win It” tournament and other outrageous activities.  Board games will also be set up in the church’s Fellowship Hall.

The public is invited to attend.  There is no set charge for the evening but guests are asked to make a contribution to Habitat for Humanity in care of Abiding Presence Lutheran Church.  Reservations can be made by calling the church office at (248) 651-6550 by Feb 5.
