Distinguished Volunteers are the advocates, leaders, and mentors whose passion for their respective causes inspire philanthropic action and community involvement in southeast Michigan. The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Greater Detroit Chapter will recognize the following Distinguished Volunteers from the Crittenton Hospital Medical Center Foundation at its Annual National Philanthropy Day (NPD) Dinner, Wednesday, November 14, 2012.
Suzanne Elder is dedicated. She is a donor, volunteer, and advocate for the Crittenton Foundation, volunteering in the hospital gift shop. As the first community donor to the Crittenton Foundation Cornerstone Campaign, Elder demonstrated her commitment to the campaign’s mission and inspired other donors to step forward. Elder believes that philanthropy and service make a difference in the lives of others.
Dr. Anthony J. Nehra is a leader. Serving as Chairman of the Crittenton Foundation Board of Directors since 2006, Nehra is an advocate for establishing a culture of philanthropy. He is leading a $20 million capital campaign to provide hospital infrastructure and bring vital health services to his community. Nehra is dedicated to helping others through compassion and generosity.
