‘Doing the Most Good’ at the Royal Park

The Royal Park Hotel team is deeply honored to have been awarded the Salvation Army’s “Doing the Most Good Award,” after raising more than $200,000 for Salvation Army efforts throughout the past 12 years.

Eight people stand for a photo, four hold glass awards with two hands in front of them. A painting is in the background as well as Salvation Army signs.

At the Royal Park Hotel, doing good is at the heard of its mission, and we are excited to be a part of this year’s Hope Marches On campaign.

At the awards ceremony on September 15, members of our team received the award and recommitted to keep striving toward doing all we can to serve those in need. We are fortunate enough to have so many wonderful supporters in the Rochester area, and we thank you for supporting us, so we can keep supporting others.

“Being recognized by an organization like the Salvation Army and being able to be a small part of all the good they do not only locally but nationally, is something we take very seriously,” said Sue Keels, the hotel’s general manager. “We will continue to uphold this privilege and partnership, working toward doing all the good we can for this area.”

The event was held at the Detroit Athletic Club, and featured several prestigious civic awards being presented to deserving individuals and companies who have volunteered and served the metro Detroit area through innovation, ingenuity and dedication – exemplifying the Salvation Army’s mission to Do the Most Good.

Sue Keels is also a member of the Salvation Army’s Metro Detroit Advisory Board.

The Royal Park Hotel and the Salvation Army have had a long-standing partnership, helping to raise money during the Christmas season and beyond. The festive décor of the hotel lobby draws visitors and guests alike, who generously support the Salvation Army in a variety of ways.
