Don’t Miss the Final Day of the Downtown Rochester Farmers’ Market

2014 Season Ends on Saturday, October 25

On closing day of the market, Saturday, October 25, ghouls and goblins are invited to participate in trick-or-treating from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m it was announced via press release. Children will receive free goodie bags complements of the Rochester Downtown Development Authority and market vendors will have treats available at their booths. Don’t forget to pick up your fall bounty including squash, pumpkins, apples, cider and more!

Now in its 15th season, the Farmers’ Market is a frequent stop for area residents to enjoy the vibrant colors, aromas and flavors of southeast Michigan’s growing season. Located at the corner of E. Third and Water Street, just one block east of Main Street, the market is open every Saturday May through October from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

“Thank you to all our shoppers, farmers & vendors for another wonderful year,” said Nancy Voges, Marketing Coordinator for the Rochester Downtown Development Authority. “The community has continued to support our market and the vendors who bring locally produced, fresh foods.”

The market features only Michigan-grown (or made) products including vegetables, fruits, flowers, container gardens, fresh cut flowers, herbs, homemade baked goods, gnocchi, jams and jellies, honey, maple syrup, locally roasted coffee and various certified organic products including eggs, beef and chicken.

Also, don’t forget the Farmers’ Market’s holiday alter-ego: the Kris Kringle Market. The 7th annual Kris Kringle Market in Downtown Rochester will be back on Friday, Dec. 5 and Saturday, Dec. 6. This open-air Christmas market features hand-crafted gifts, specialty foods, holiday greens and live entertainment.
