Don’t miss the final day of the Downtown Rochester Farmers’ Market

On closing day of the market, Saturday, October 26, ghouls and goblins are invited to participate in trick-or-treating from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Children will receive free goodie bags complements of the Rochester Downtown Development Authority (while supplies last) and market vendors will have treats available at their booths.  Don’t forget to pick up your fall bounty including mums, squash, pumpkins, apples, cider and more!

Now in its 13th season, the Farmers’ Market is a frequent stop for area residents to enjoy the vibrant colors, aromas and flavors of southeast Michigan’s growing season. Located at the corner of E. Third and Water Street, just one block east of Main Street, the market is open every Saturday May through October from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“Thank you to all our shoppers, farmers & vendors for another wonderful year,” said Nancy Voges, Marketing Coordinator for the Rochester Downtown Development Authority.  “The community has continued to support our market and the vendors who bring locally produced, fresh foods.”

The market features only Michigan-grown (or made) products including vegetables, fruits, flowers, container gardens, fresh cut flowers, herbs, homemade baked goods, gnocchi, jams and jellies, honey, maple syrup, locally roasted coffee and various certified organic products including eggs, beef and chicken.

Also, don’t forget the Farmers’ Market’s holiday alter-ego: the Kris Kringle Market.  The newest holiday tradition in Downtown Rochester will be back on Friday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 7.  This open-air Christmas market features hand-crafted gifts, fresh baked goods, holiday greens and live entertainment.  The 6th annual Kris Kringle Market promises to be even bigger and better than last year!

The Downtown Rochester Farmers’ Market is presented by the Rochester Downtown Development Authority and C & G Newspapers.  For more information about the market, please visit or contact the Rochester DDA office at 248/656-0060.
