- Open House at Fire Station #2, Oakland Township Fire Dept. at 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m., 1888 Rochester Road
There will be tons of fun family activities free and open to the public, including a hayride, pumpkin painting, and horse grooming demonstration. Pumpkins painting is while they last, allow dry time and enjoy the other activities. Dinosaur Hill will have games. Local painters will be displaying their beautiful artwork, with talents of spinners and quilting, tractors, and musicians will fill the historic district.
The Oakland Township Historical Society has received many fabulous donations for the Flumerfelt Flea Market in the barn; you might find your treasure for sale in the historic barn.
Just down the road the Oakland Township Fire Department will be celebrating their annual National Fire Prevention Month by hosting their annual open house from noon to 4:00 p.m. Come on out to meet your local firefighters, see the Jaws of Life demonstration and have a hot dog while supplies last.
