Down on the Farm is Saturday, October 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Cranberry Lake Farm Historic District 388 W. Predmore Road. Tractor rides, pumpkin patch, apple picking, chickens, horses and farrier, corn shelling, blacksmithing, quilting, spinning, outdoor games, beekeeping, tractors, plein air painters, apron exhibit, and more are all free to enjoy. Live music featuring Harmonica George from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon and Ukulele Band from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m.
New this year, local author Robert A. Lytle will be reading in the Story Garden at 11:30 a.m., 12:15 p.m., and 1:00 p.m. Dinosaur Hill will be doing a farm craft project. Oakland Township Historical Society (OTHS) will have honey for sale. The event is brought to you by the Oakland Township Historic District Commission working with OTHS with generous donations from Oakland Township Parks and Recreation and Oakland County Parks.
