Join Downtown Rochester on Saturday, July 14, as they kick off the 17th season of Movies in the Moonlight. This season there is four consecutive Saturday nights.
“I can’t think of a better way for families to spend their Saturday nights under the stars”, said Jenna O’Dell, Events Coordinator of the Rochester Downtown Development Authority (DDA). “Movies in the Moonlight is a community staple for many local families.”
Movies in the Moonlight is located in the parking lot at the corner of E. Third & Water, one block east of Main. Featured movies begin at dusk (approximately 9:15 p.m.) and pre-shows start at 8:30 p.m. Admission is free, so arrive early for the best seating. Movies in the Moonlight is BYOC (Bring Your Own Chairs). Food and drinks will be available for purchase, but you are welcome to bring your own.
The complete 2018 Movies in the Moonlight schedule is:
- July 14: Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (PG-13)
- July 21: Wonder Woman (PG-13)
- July 28: Beauty and the Beast sing-along (PG)
- August 4: Despicable Me 3 (PG)
Movies rated PG-13 are edited versions whenever possible, however, parental guidance is still recommended. Pre-show activities include, a presentation from the Little Creatures Co. on July 14, dress like your favorite superhero on July 21, a Disney sing-along with Jennifer Kincer and friends on July 28, and a Minion craft on August 4.
