Downtown Rochester Sidewalk Sales Go Country

Sidewalk Sales Logo

Nothing says summer in downtown Rochester quite like Sidewalk Sales. Back for its 58th Year, Sidewalk Sales will kick off on Thursday, July 11 with a special evening concert, Nashville in the Neighborhood. Join WYCD and downtown Rochester on July 11 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., for a Free Show with Dakota Bradley, Austin Webb, and John Maison! The concert will take place on W. Fourth between Main and Walnut.

“We’re excited to partner with WYCD to showcase these up and coming country artists”, said Stephanie Hellebuyck, Events Coordinator of the Rochester Downtown Development Authority. “Sidewalk Sales is very Americana so it fits to have an American genre of music featured at the event. Especially while we continue to celebrate downtown Rochester’s recent Great American Main Street Award!”

Sidewalk Sales will run Thursday, July 11 and Friday, July 12 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 13 from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Come check out the awesome assembly and bargains of downtown Rochester merchants. Sidewalk Sale displays will be located along Main Street and side streets in downtown Rochester.

Along with great sales kids will find a variety of activities. The Third Street Activities Zone, sponsored by Renewal by Anderson will feature Oakland County’s Retro Games on W. Third daily from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. and Mini Train rides on E. Third Thursday and Friday, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. The Krafty Kid Zone, sponsored by Lincoln of Troy will feature Spin Art daily from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. in front of Mr. B’s Food & Spirits (423 Main). Other activities include free Goofy Faces Caricature drawings from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday and free Face Painting on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
