The American Association of University Woman, a woman’s advocacy group, are hosting the essay contest
Are you in the 8th grade? Have you been inspired by a woman in history or in your family? Write an essay telling about your experience and you could be the winner of the 13th Annual Rochester AAUW 8th Grade Essay Contest about “A Woman of Significance to Me.” Prizes of $100, $75 and $50 will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners at the Rochester Community House on April 28.
The deadlines for essays are April 15
Entry forms and instructions will be available at Rochester-area middle schools, the Rochester Hills Public Library, the Auburn Hills Public Library, on the Rochester AAUW website.
The contest is sponsored by the Rochester branch of AAUW, the Rochester Hills Public Library and the Auburn Hills Public library.
