In honor of the 30th Anniversary of the Paint Creek Trail, the Friends of the Paint Creek Trail group is seeking photographs for a 2014 Trail Calendar.
“This contest is a great opportunity for avid photographers of all ages to share their photos of the trail. We are looking for a variety of images, taken in all seasons, along the Paint Creek Trail, including old, historical photos of the trail,” says Jim VanDoorn, President of the Friends of the Paint Creek Trail.
Each person may submit up to four of their own original photographs. There is no fee to enter. Digital or print photographs are eligible. Digital photographs are preferred, and must be either in .tiff, .jpg or .png file formats, in the highest resolution possible. Print photographs must be a minimum 8 x 10 inches and will not be returned. “Photographers whose work is chosen for the calendar are credited and will receive a free 2014 calendar per photograph,” says VanDoorn. All entries must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31. Winners will be selected by votes cast by members of the Friends of the Paint Creek Trail and announced in August, 2013. Calendars will be available for purchase starting in September. Winners will be notified either by email, U.S. Mail or phone.
