RAHS February 2015 Brown Bag Meeting: “The Mills of Avon Township”

Join the Rochester-Avon Historical Society for their lunchtime Brown Bag meeting will be held Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 12 p.m. at the Rochester Community House, 816 Ludlow in Rochester. The program will feature Deborah Remer and a discussion on early mills, mill owners, millers and those who built the mills which were vital to the Rochester area’s early economy.

A retired science teacher from Walled Lake Middle School, Remer is a member of the Society for the Preservation of Old Mills (SPOOM) and is the head of the archaeology program at the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm.

Bring your lunch. Coffee and cookies will be provided. The public is welcome to this free program. Bring a friend!
