Try Letterboxing at RHPL
September 8, 2014 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Have you ever wanted to go on a treasure hunt? Try letterboxing! Many letterboxes can be found simply by following a set of clues; others require a compass in addition to a keen mind. Clues can be found online at letterboxing.org and similar websites. Get the clues, follow them, and find the letterbox. Bring a logbook, or any notebook, as well as an inkpad and you can stamp the image found in the letterbox. Bring your own stamp to leave your mark on the logbook inside the letterbox or simply sign and date the logbook.
RHPL now has two letterboxes! One can be found inside the building and one is located on the grounds. Follow the clues online or stop by the Youth Reference Desk for a copy of the clues.
Residents of Rochester, Rochester Hills, and Oakland Township, don’t miss these exciting events at Rochester Hills Public Library. Each child who registers for library programs must have his or her own library card and be a resident of Rochester, Rochester Hills, or Oakland Township. Registration is online and the Friends of the Rochester Hills Public Library fund all youth programs. See the Schedule of Events on our website at RHPL.org or contact Youth Services at (248) 650-7140.
