“Could you use a little camaraderie and an upbeat atmosphere of fun? Looking for a cool way to connect with friends and family both in your community and beyond? Let’s create a wave of momentum across the state of Michigan, and beyond, to do something that changes lives. We can do so much more together than we could ever do alone,” said event coordinator and kindergarten teacher Laurie Bradshaw. “Challenge yourself and get your body moving while being a game changer and impact maker. We need you!”
The event is grateful for the ongoing support from the local community, including Lighthouse Psychological Clinic, Rochester Fit Body Boot Camp, Moosejaw in the Village of Rochester Hills, and University Dental Associates.
A safety mitigation plan has been submitted to Bloomer Park, which recognizes the most up-to-date requirements. Hand washing stations are readily available and social distancing guidelines are a part of the event. Staggered start times will also provide a safe way for participants to engage in the race and walk. “Things have changed, but we are ready. We want you to know your safety is our top priority,” said Bradshaw. “We have a super strategic plan in place for the safety and fun of everyone involved. Come out and join the fun and be an everyday hero.”
All proceeds are donated to Dayspring Ministries International, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. For any questions contact: EndChildTrafficking101@gmail.com.
