EWE HAVE MORE TIME TO JOIN THE FLOCK FOR THE EWE REVUE 2!

ROCHESTER, Mich. – Nov. 7, 2011 – The deadline to submit designs for the Ewe Revue 2 has been extended to Wednesday, Nov. 30.

The Ewe Revue 2 is a community-wide public art event celebrating the history, pride and spirit of downtown Rochester. Artists are needed to design and decorate some stylish sheep for this event – and in 2012, the sheep are going Hollywood! The Hollywood-themed sheep will be on display beginning May 4 – Sept. 30, 2012.

The Ewe Revue 2 committee is accepting applications from artists who wish to participate in this public art event. The Ewe Revue 2 is open to all artists, whether professional or amateurs. Artists of all ages are encouraged to submit designs. Artists whose designs are selected by a sponsor will be provided with either a life-size, blank fiberglass sheep, four “mini” sheep or a combination of one full-size and one mini sheep, and will be paid an honorarium of $800, $600 or $950, respectively.

Sheep must be decorated with a “Hollywood” theme. This includes movies, movie stars, musicians, various celebrities and anything else deemed appropriate by The Ewe Revue 2 committee.

All designs must be approved by the Ewe Revue 2 committee. All applications must be received by Nov. 30, 2011, and once notified of selection, all completed sheep must be returned to the Rochester Downtown Development Authority (DDA) by March 26, 2012.

To receive an official Entry Submission Package, visit www.DowntownRochesterMI.com/EweRevue, email Stacey@DowntownRochesterMI.com or call 248/656-0060. Upon reviewing the Entry Submission Package, Artist Applications should be requested by Nov. 23. Design suggestions also are available on the webpage.
