Experience the European Essence of the Kris Kringle Market in Downtown Rochester

Downtown Rochester’s annual Kris Kringle Market returns this holiday season on Friday, December 2, 4:00 – 10:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 3, noon – 10:00 p.m. The market will be located on W. Fourth Street between Main and Walnut and will coincide with The Big, Bright Light Show.

The Kris Kringle Market, presented by Lincoln of Troy, is inspired by the 700 year-old tradition of the European Christmas markets. Visitors can enjoy the food, shopping, entertainment and ambience of an open-air holiday market. Offerings include hand-crafted gifts, holiday cards, fresh greens, baked goods, specialty foods, and much more. Many popular vendors will be returning, including Bavarian Roasted Almonds Co., Nitsches Meats & Deli, and The Original Strudel Factory.

“Shopping and strolling at the Kris Kringle Market has become a tradition for many local families,” said Kelly McMahon, Marketing Coordinator for the Rochester DDA. “It’s an incredibly fun atmosphere; the street is aglow for The Big, Bright Light Show and visitors really get into the holiday spirit.”

Children can enjoy a visit and photo opportunity with Santa Claus, a free holiday craft, and a chance to play in child-sized gingerbread houses.

Food and beverage will be available in the warming tent.  Visitors can purchase commemorative glass mugs filled with Gluhwein or enjoy hand-crafted beer from the Rochester Mills Beer Co.

The Kris Kringle Market is exclusively presented by Lincoln of Troy. For more information, please visit www.downtownrochestermi.com or contact the Rochester DDA office at 248-656-0060.
